The program focuses on mentoring early-career faculty and new investigators in skills that range from communicating with grant officers, to finding funding opportunities, developing successful proposals, and interacting with the media, and more.

Washington DC Agency Visit

UC Merced faculty members are eligible to join yearly Washington DC agency visits.  Meetings with federal funding officials and elected representatives all aim to strengthen the relationships between UC Merced and federal partners.  The trip is usually planned for late October. To participate, contact HSRI Executive Director Trevor Hirst or the Office of Research Development.
