Bio:
In addition to my faculty and leadership roles at UC Merced, I am currently an affiliated faculty member at the UCSF Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education and founding member of the University of California, Davis Asian American Center for Disparities Research. I completed a 12-month sabbatical at the National Cancer Institute’s Tobacco Control branch conducting work on e-cigarette use, as well as work on the intersection between tobacco and marijuana use. I am the PI of a $3.8 million center grant from the Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program to establish HSRI’s Nicotine and Cannabis Research Center (NCPC). NCPC’s mission is to bring nicotine and cannabis science to the San Joaquin Valley.
